Home & Documents

Navigating the Home dashboard, switching between Initiatives, the Processes card, the compact Documents card, and where documents live in the Library.

After signing in, you land on the Home dashboard — your central hub for moving between Initiatives, processes, documents, and the agents in the left sidebar.

Home adapts to your scope

  • With an Initiative selected, Home leads with that Initiative's recent Processes, then sessions and a compact Documents card. Record a workflow in the page header opens Scout — that is the one record button on this page. If someone invited you to record a workflow — or you already accepted and haven't finished — that list is the first thing on the page, above Processes. Each row has Accept or Continue, and the heading is the same count shown next to Home in the sidebar. Use the Workspace dropdown near the top of the sidebar to switch between Initiatives.
  • In the "All Initiatives" view (org admins only), Home shows a company overview — company-context completeness and the organization-wide Architect entry.

Tip: Make sure the correct Initiative is selected before creating sessions or running analyses — the selected Initiative determines what data Scout and Architect work with.

Processes card

On Initiative Home, the first card is Processes: how many there are, and the three most recently updated. Folders you pin in the Library appear here as quick links under the card title — each one opens that folder. Click View all (or Library in the sidebar) for the full library, where you can filter by department or by whether a process is published, still a draft, or still needs a deliverable.

Recording and import are not repeated on this card. Record a workflow is the header button. To load documentation you already have, use Add → Upload or paste in the Library, or drop the file on the Documents card.

What else Home shows

  • Process coverage strip (admins) — a compact summary of the Initiative's interview programme: processes complete, interviews done, expected outcomes met, plus anything overdue and open conflicts. Click it to open Discovery for the full table.
  • Questions & conflicts card — when the latest Architect analysis left open questions or conflicts between interviews, this card shows those counts and clicks through to Architect's Questions tab.
  • Latest analysis (when an analysis has run, or you can start one) — one line, with when it last ran. Click it to open Architect. It does not repeat Architect's process, opportunity, or gap totals.
  • Recent sessions card — individual recording sessions as activity, newest first, with a status badge. This is different from Process coverage, which rolls sessions up per process and adds who's assigned, due dates, and what's outstanding. The header's Record a workflow is how you start one; this card does not add a second record button.
  • Documents card — the last few files in this Initiative, one Upload button, and View all to open the Library. Files created by Linc carry a Generated badge. There are no rename, move or delete actions here — those live in the Library. Upload puts files into a Library folder you pick (or at the top of the Library); if there is nowhere to put them yet, Home points you to the Library, where the first upload creates the place. Drop a PDF, image, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, .bpmn, transcript, or notes file on the card and Linc asks Import as process? — choose Import as process to open the import dialog and put it in the Library as a process, or Add to documents to upload it as a file Chat can search.

Documents and the Library

Documents live in the Library (folder icon in the sidebar), filed in your organization's folders beside the processes of the same area, and every document you add becomes searchable through Chat — so the more context you provide, the better the AI can answer questions and generate reports. Open a folder and its Documents group lists the files and written documents filed there; the top of the Library lists what is in no folder yet. Add → Upload or paste takes files or pasted text; each item's row says whether it becomes a Process or is kept as a Document in that folder (or at the top). Rename, move between folders, Who can see and delete are on each document's ⋯ menu. See The Library page in the Processes section for the full picture.

Documents about one process belong on that process: open it and use Add files (or Add files… on its Library row) so the file is listed with the process on its Documents tab and can update it.

There are no collections to create or manage any more. Anything that was in a collection is listed in the Library folder it was filed in (with an In … note saying where it came from), and old collection links open that folder.

Uploading documents

  1. Open the Library, and the folder the documents belong to (or stay at the top).
  2. Click Add → Upload or paste, then drop files or choose them. Accepted: PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx, .xls), CSV, text, Markdown, and images (PNG, JPG, WebP) — images are read so a photographed whiteboard or an exported diagram becomes searchable too, and a deck is read slide by slide, including the boxes and arrows of any flowchart drawn on it. A file that isn't one of those types is refused with a message listing what is accepted.
  3. Set each row's switch to Document (a file that looks like a procedure is offered as a Process first — flip it if you only want it searchable), pick Who can see the documents — Organization (all members of your org), Initiative (members of a specific Initiative, including external members), or Only you — and click the button, which says what the batch will do.

You can also upload from Home's Documents card — one or more files at a time, into a Library folder you pick.

Already have a process diagram or procedure? Keeping it as a document makes it searchable in chat, but doesn't create a process. To load it into the Library as a real process, leave its row on Process in the same dialog, or use Add → Upload or paste in the Library (see Processes). Dropping a PDF, image, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, .bpmn, transcript, or notes file on Home's Documents card offers that import directly.

Tip: The Library is not just for process documentation. Upload anything that gives the AI context about your business — ERP manuals, compliance policies, org charts, vendor catalogs, meeting notes. The richer your knowledge base, the more useful Chat and Architect become.

Visibility notes

  • If you're an external member (invited into an Initiative from a different organization), you see Initiative-scoped items for that Initiative — not the host org's Organization-wide items.
  • Creators can always see their own items, whatever the visibility.
